Barça to Host Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
